Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is situated on two of the most active volcanoes in the world: Kilauea and Mauna Loa. The park offers great opportunities for hiking, backpacking and lava viewing. Two scenic drives are also available: Crater Rim Drive (11 miles) and Chain of Craters Road (40 miles). Stop at the Kilauea Visitor Center, just inside the park entrance, for information about safety in the park and rangers-led activities.
